- West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) Result Holders
Credit Passes(Grade A1- C6) in five (5) subjects including Core English Language, Core Mathematics , Core Integrated Science and any two elective subjects with an aggregate score of 30 or better .
- Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSSCE) Result Holders
Credit Passes (Grade A - D) in five (5) subjects including Core English Language, Core Mathematics, Core Integrated Science and any two elective subjects with an aggregate score of 20 or better.
- General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE) Result Holders
Credit Passes in five (5) subjects including Core English Language, Core Mathematics , Core Integrated Science and any two elective subjects with an aggregate score of 20 or better.
CATEGORY B
G.C.E. Advanced Level Result Holders
Passes in any two (2) subjects at the GCE ‘A’ Level plus a pass in General Paper.
CATEGORY C
Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Result Holders
Passes in any three (3) subjects at the ABCE level.
Note 1: Applicants who qualify under Categories B & C must have in addition Credit in Core English Language, Core Mathematics and Integrated Science at WASSCE/ SSSCE/GBCE or Credit in English Language, Mathematics and any Science Subject at the Ordinary Level.
Note 2: Applicants for level 100 undergraduate programmes only who will be writing WASSCE in May/ June 2012, are also eligible to apply. They will be required to indicate their WASSCE index numbers and the subjects they will be writing on-line.
Note 3: Applicants for Diploma in Public Relations Management must pass an entrance
examination and an interview conducted by the Institute. The date for the examination and interview are (Saturday, May 19, 2012)

General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Result Holders
Passes in any three (3) subjects at the GCE ‘A’ Level plus a pass in General Paper.
Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Result Holders
Credit passes in any five (5) subjects at the ABCE level.
Post Secondary Teacher’s Certificate ‘A’/Diploma in Education Result Holders
Recognized Professional Qualifications:
At least complete Level One (1) of any of the following professional qualifications

Note 4: Applicants who qualify under Categories D, E, F and G must have in addition Credit in Core English Language, Core Mathematics and Core Integrated Science at WASSCE/ SSSCE/GBCE or Credit in English Language, Mathematics and any Science Subject at the Ordinary Level.
- ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR UNDERGRADUATE LEVEL 300 ENTRY (EVENING AND WEEKEND SCHOOLS)
Higher National Diploma (HND) awarded by NABTEX in any programme relevant to
the courses being offered by the Institute (i.e. Accounting, Secretaryship & Management Studies, Purchasing & Supply, Marketing, Statistics) from any institution recognized by National Accreditation Board.
University /Tertiary Diploma in business related programmes from any institution
accredited by the National Accreditation Board.
Professional Programmes
At least Level Two (2)/Three(3) as the case may be of any of the following
professional qualifications :(ICSA, CIM, CIMA, ACCA, ICAG and CIB).
Note 5: Applicants who qualify under Categories H, I and J must have in addition Credit in Core English Language, Core Mathematics and Core Integrated Science at WASSCE/ SSSCE/GBCE or Credit in English Language, Mathematics and any Science Subject at the Ordinary Level.
Note 6:Successful applicants under Categories H & I will be admitted into Level 200 or 300 depending on their Final Grade Point Average (FGPA).
5. Mature Applicants
Mature Applicants applying for admission must satisfy the following entry
Requirements:
- Attained a minimum age of Twenty-Seven (27) years by Monday, August 1, 2012.
- Must have at least three (3) years work experience.
- Must possess at least credit in English Language and Mathematics at GCE ‘O’ Level or in the case of those who hold WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE at least grade C6 or grade D in English Language (core) and Mathematics (core).
- Must pass the mature students’ entrance examination (General Paper) and interview.
- Applicants with grades D7, E8 or grade E (WASSCE/SSSCE/GBCE) or grades 7 and 8 (GCE ‘O’ Level) in English Language and Mathematics may apply but their admission would be subject to their having passed the Institute’s Mature Special English Language and Special Mathematics papers. Detailed information could be obtained from the Application Pack.
- ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS FOR PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMMES (MORNING, EVENING & WEEKEND SESSIONS)
(i) A complete pass at the foundation or Part / level one (1) of the Professional course applied for OR complete pass in the level preceding the level applied for.
(ii) Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy, Management Studies or Marketing from any institution recognized by National Accreditation Board.
- (iii)University / Tertiary Diploma in Business related subjects from any institution and accredited by the National Accreditation Board.
Note7
All those who qualify under Categories (i), (ii) and (iii) must have in addition credit passes in English Language (Core), Mathematics( Core) and Integrated Science (Core) at WASSCE / SSSCE / GBCE or credit passes in English Language, Mathematics and any Science Subject at the Ordinary Level.

7. INTERNATIONAL APPLICANTS
International Applicants may be admitted on the basis of qualifications from their home countries, for which equivalence shall be determined by the National Accreditation Board (NAB) of Ghana and submitted to the Institute. Evidence of proficiency in English Language will be required in the case of applicants from non-English speaking countries
