Library Structure
The Institute’s Library consists of a Main Library and a Graduate Library, which serve all the faculties and departments of the Institute.

Readers’ Services
Lending Section: - The literary heritage of the Library is situated in the main and graduate book depositories. The readers have free access only to the library’s scientific and non-fiction literature, which can be borrowed. The cataloging system completely reveals all the documents in the Library and offers a wide choice of authors, titles and themes.
Library documents are lent upon request from 8:30 a.m. till 9.30 p.m.

Admission Procedures and Registration Section: - The library opens during the following hours:
Monday – Saturday:
               Main Library:            8:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
               Graduate Library:    8:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.
       
The library is closed on Sundays and public holidays

The Lending section, which also serve as circulation section, deals with charging and discharging. Here clientele borrow books and then return them on the due date. Books are borrowed for two (2) weeks and users who fail to return the books on the due date are sanctioned.

Periodicals and Newspapers’ Corner: – Daily newspapers and other periodicals are displayed for clientele.

Security Section: - This is the section where users normally deposit their bags before entering the library and collect them after using the library. The security men ensure that users do not takes any library material outside without due process. They also make sure that unwanted materials like water, sweets, and food are not brought into the library.
 

Reference and Information Services
Reference Section: - A great variety of reference, informational and bibliographical activities are carried out within this section, facilitated by computer-indexes in the different fields of knowledge and the Internet. The Reference Section is where clientele make enquiries. Here, users are assisted by the library staff, among others, to locate books and other library materials.

Collection Development, Indexing, Cataloging and Book Processing Section
The work of the specialists in this section is to ensure the library policy of collection, registration, classification and cataloguing of available book-stock .
 
Information Technology Unit
The software engineers work on problems of updating the library process and communications using the modern technologies in this field.

Library Systems Office
This is an office with computers where users are allowed to browse for a maximum of 30 minutes during peak periods; users have access to on-line database and are promptly assisted in their search by the staff of the library member. Information can also be downloaded free of charge.

Activities and Resources for the Library
Orientations are organised for students and staff on the use of the library. Fresh students are also given orientation on the use of the library at the beginning of the academic year.

 The Library staff are occasionally given in-service-training to improve upon their skills in order to enhance their services to clientele.

 Photocopying services: The library also offers photocopying services. Users do fair-copying of books that cannot be borrowed.

Binding services are also done in the library making it possible for users to bind their photocopied materials to protect their work.
