Dr. Mohammed Mustapha Seidu holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics, from the (Plekhanov Russian Academy of Economics, Moscow). He has also a Masters of Science (MSc.) Degree in Economics from the (Plekhanov Moscow Institute of National Economy). He has to his credit two academic publications on “State Regulation of Investment Processes in Developing Countries: (Ghana a- A Test Case”), and “Planning Capital Investment in Developing Countries”. (Thesis).
Dr. Mustapha Seidu is the Registrar of the Institute of Professional Studies (IPS). Before his first appointment to IPS as Director of the Business Development Directorate, Dr. Mustapha Seidu was a Principal Controller, Economic Affairs Unit of the Serious Fraud Office, Accra and previously worked at the Environmental Assessment and Audit Department of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in Accra. He lectured Business Economics at the Institute of Professional Studies from 1997 to 1998.
Dr. Mustapha Seidu is an Associate Consultant with Sigma Development Associates.
He has a brilliant working experience and track record of achievements in Planning and Management Consultancy. Some of his previous engagements are poverty reduction and alternate income generation programmes sponsored by UNDP, and review of problems facing trade and industry in Ghana and formulating possible solutions and objectives, under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade among others.
He serves on a number of the Institute’s Statutory and Non-statutory Committees including the Academic Board, Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Oversight Committee, Research and Conferences Committee, Planning and Resource Committee, Academic Planning Committee, Budget Committee and Chairman of the Bookshop Management Committee.
