PBBA 400 Long Essay/Internship                                                      
The purpose of the Academic Exercise is to provide the student with an opportunity to select and study a research problem of local importance and present his findings logically and systematically in clear and concise prose. The research topic can be whither the study of a business problem involving the use of analytic or predictive models, or research study using field research techniques or data analysis leading to sound generalizations and deductions, or a scientific analysis of a theoretical problem. The student is expected in this exercise to demonstrate (a) a good understanding of relevant methodology and literature (b) the significance and relevance of the problem (c) a logical and sound analysis and (d) a clear and effective presentation.

PBBA 401 Corporate Governance                                                 
The course is to introduce students to Corporate governance, it significance for the contemporary business world and the role of the Administrator in Corporate governance awareness and compliance. It will consider how rights and responsibilities are shared and exercised by different stakeholders to ensure common business objectives. The course will also highlight some of the key issues at the heart of corporate governance debate including financial reporting and auditing, risk-taking and   shareholder communications.

 It will touch on the concepts associated with best governance practices such as transparency accountability and fairness.

Finally, the course will explore why ethical conduct in business is such a core tenet of the corporate governance agenda

PBBA 402 Public/Corporate Administration                                      
The programme is to help students to develop an understanding of the theories underpinning the nature of the management function within the business organisation and in its interaction with the market, technological, legal, social and political environment. It will also assist student to develop an understanding of the need for effective administration of corporate affairs including physical, human and intangible corporate resources.  Topic areas to consider will include -: Decision making forums and meeting; corporate information needs; and Management of corporate assets.

PBAC 403  Taxation II                                                                       
Direct tax legislations in Ghana and their interpretations in ascertaining personal and corporate tax obligations; rights, and liabilities; general principles of taxation in relations to assessment of all chargeable income such as employment, trading, rent, and investment incomes; capital gains tax analysis of the tax machinery in Ghana

PBBA 404 Labour Relations                                                              
This is a course, which focuses on Labour laws, regulations and administrative best practices. The course includes employment law and regulations, the employment contract, concept of added value and continuous improvement

PBBA 405 Banking and Investment Analysis                                  
The course entails a broad overview of the banking and securities industry. Topics include investment analysis, understanding interest rates, financial markets analysis, international finance and monetary system. The course will also look at the role of security brokers, dealers, and flotation companies.

PBBA 407 Risk Management and Insurance                                    
The aim is to give thorough knowledge in risk Management and control, corporate liabilities, Insurance and the Insurance market.   The course includes trust, the insurance industry, the use of consultants and advisers,   Disaster Planning and the management and proper control of employee benefit plans and pension schemes, management of corporate assets, life and health insurance, property and insurance coverage, social insurance.

PBBA 411 International Human Resource Management                  
This course a build up on Human resource Management I will seek to consider Human Resource Management in global business.  It will discuss the pros and cons of different approaches to staffing policy in international business; understand why managers may fail to thrive in foreign postings; understand what can be done to increase an executive, management development and compensation practices can play in managing human resources within an international business

PBBA 413 Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management              
The purpose of this course is to examine some of the skills required to initiate and grow an entrepreneurial venture.  Although some of the ventures considered may be small initially, the objective would generally be to grow them into significant participants in their respective markets.

PBBA 415   Management of Small and Medium Size Enterprises        
The course examines the role of small enterprise in economic development, the characteristics of local entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial development. It exposes students to the management issues confronting local small enterprises in major functional areas, and the available government assistance schemes to mitigate them. The course also provides an insight into current development; such as subcontracting, business incubator and experiences in SME development. It also improves the students’ ability to analyze and resolve management problems through a group management audit project on local companies. Other project options are industry study and formulating a business plan.

PBMK 417 Total Quality Management (TQM) II                           
This course would provide a working or practical appreciation of how total quality management can be generated in all situations. Above all, this course seeks to develop an understanding of the administrative and organizational settings consistent with the concept of TQM.A few models (Abstract conceptualization of reality) as well as case studies would also be considered to provide students with appropriate tools for analysis. At the end of this course, students should be equipped with skills for implementing quality management systems as well as management systems auditing.

PBBA 419 Advanced Computer Studies and   E-Commerce                                                             
Emphasis would be laid on the use of the Internet and E-commence in global marketing operations. Topics to be covered include World Wide Web (www) and Web Browsers, Internet software for business, on-line banking, censorship, data and information security, and Intellectual property rights. Students would have an in-depth knowledge of global and multinational marketing as a strategic decision.
