QUALIFICATION
Candidates must possess Ph.D in the relevant areas of specialization. In addition, they must have considerable number of years of teaching /research experience at a University or a comparable institution with
not less than twenty (20) refereed publications since appointment as lecturer.
Same as for Professors, but with at least twelve (12) refereed publications since appointment as lecturer. Candidates must have taught for a minimum of five (5) years as Senior Lecturer.
Candidates must possess Ph.D or Doctorate with at least four (4) years teaching/research experience in the relevant areas of specialization, having made at least five (5) publications, in their area of specialization.
Candidates must possess Ph.D or Doctorate with at least two (2) years teaching/research experience in the relevant area of specialization, having made at least two (2) Publications in their area of specialization.
v. Assistant Lecturer
M.Phil, MSc or MBA plus Business Professional Qualification with at least two (2) years teaching/research experience in the relevant area of specialization.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Successful candidates will be required to teach courses at the professional, undergraduate and postgraduate levels; supervise graduate and undergraduate research and project work /dissertations, and offer academic counseling to students.
In addition, candidates will be required to contribute regularly to knowledge in their field by publishing in refereed journals or with reputable publishing houses. Serving the Faculty and the Departments in multiple ways, including committee work will be required.
- INFORMATION SERVICES AND TECHNOLOGY APPOINTMENTS
- HEAD OF SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
Main function: The Head of Systems Engineering shall develop and redesign or customize applications to support both academic and administrative functions in the University.
Accountable to: Associate Director of Infrastructure and Engineering
Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in any Computer or Information Science, Management Information Systems, or related field/discipline, with at least two (2) years work experience in the area of higher institution of learning.
2. HEAD OF TELECOM AND NETWORKS
Main function: The Head of Telecom and Networks shall deploy and maintain various network, telecommunication, data centre and security systems ensuring consistent network connectivity of all Systems all the time.
Accountable to: Associate Director of Infrastructure and Engineering
Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in any Computer Science, or Information Technology or related field/discipline, with at least two (2) years work experience in the area of managing enterprise network and telecommunication systems.
3. HEAD OF ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Main function: The Head of Administrative Information Systems shall implement and maintain various information systems that support data/records management, financial, procurement, inventory, assets and facility management, and the technical and backend management of the University’s website.
Accountable to: Associate Director of Enterprise Information Systems
Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in any Computer or Information Science, Management Information Systems, or related field/discipline, with at least two (2) years work experience in the area of higher institution of learning.
4. HEAD OF ACADEMIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS
Main function: The Head of Academic Information Systems shall support students, academic staff, and academic affairs staff with various systems for teaching, learning, assessment, research and students’ management information. The Information Technology Officer shall deploy appropriate strategies in running E-Libaries, Learning and Research Commons, Students Data Centre and Learning Management Systems.
Accountable to: Associate Director of Enterprise Information Systems
Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in any Computer or Information Science, Management Information Systems, or related field/discipline, with at least two (2) years work experience in the area of higher institution of learning.
- HEAD OF END-USER SUPPORT SERVICES
Main function: The Head of End-User Support Services shall provide technical ICT
support for all end-users, ICT support services to students and maintain all ICT hardware resources.
Accountable to: Associate Director of Policy, Strategy and Support
Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in any Computer Science or Information Technology or related field/discipline, with at least two (2) years work experience in the area of enterprise information technology management.
- HEAD OF PLANNING, POLICY AND STRATEGY
Main function: The Head of Head of Planning, Policy and Strategy shall assist in IT policy development, strategic planning and assessment to meet information needs of the University.
Accountable to: Associate Director of Policy, Strategy and Support
Minimum Qualifications: Masters degree in any Computer Science or Information Technology or related field/discipline, with at least two (2) years work experience in the area of enterprise information technology management.

REGISTRY APPOINTMENTS
Qualification: Candidate must have a good first degree and either a Masters degree in Administration/Social Science or an equivalent professional qualification with a minimum of two (2) years post qualification experience in a tertiary education institution
Skills Required: Successful candidate must have the following attributes:

- Ability to work to tight schedules
- Computer literacy
Responsibilities: Successful candidate will perform the following responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Registry of the University
- Assist in the implementation of decisions and policies of the University
- Contribute to the general operation of the Registry
- Assist in the development of high-quality records management systems for the University’s records
- Serve as secretary to Committees
- JUNIOR ASSISTANT REGISTRAR
Qualification: Candidate must have a good first degree and either a Masters degree in Administration/Social Science or an equivalent professional qualification.
Skills required and responsibilities are the same as in Assistant Registrar
